The normal 1931 tire on a 19" rim is a 4.75/15.00-19. Lucas sells a 550-19 that they say will fit on a 19" Model A Rim. Has anyone had any experience with the fit on this tire/rim fit. I'm thinking of going with this tire as I feel it will be a little wider and a little more stable??? Anyone...

Thanks Tom for all your help. How do I disassemble these parts? I have my engine out now. Do I have to pull the rear end to get to this assy? How do I pull the bearing race out and how do I realign the race with the dimple?

I've heard the same thing Brian. I have a friend that insists that I replace that retainer and that is going to be a big job, maybe not worth the effort. So I'm getting my speedo overhauled and a new cable in place, and then all should be well. Thanks all, Phil
