    Rex-a-co Temperature Gauge problem

So true, if you have a repop. If you have an original Rex-A-Co, it may be worth it...but it depends on your level of commitment to preserving history.

    Rex-a-co Temperature Gauge problem

There are places that specialize in this type is gauge repair. I haven't used one in many years though, so I cant recommend one. If your gauge has a long tube with a bulb at the end (I think so), its filled with ether gas. As the temp goes up, so does the pressure of the gas. So in reality...

Fuel Line, Shut-Off Valve to Firewall: Why Made Of Hard Steel?

Yep, that's my take on it also. So it seems that the 'hard' state of the original tubes was an unintentional result of the tube forming process. Heating and quenching may have contributed to the hard state of the original tubes as well. Its interesting that the repop suppliers have elected to...

Fuel Line, Shut-Off Valve to Firewall: Why Made Of Hard Steel?

Really? In your world, just because you don't care, that means nobody cares  Such lack of vision and perception :( The purpose of my question is actually stated in the first post. Those who have open minds will see a direction that I'm heading. I stated in the first post: "This is...

    spark plug gap

People are recommending a stock gap size for you, and that's good. If you have a stock ignition system and engine, then that spec is fine. The system is also forgiving in that if you change the gap slightly, nothing bad will happen. Its also true that many folks on this forum run their gaps...

    Smoking upon start up

You changed the exhaust manifold and exhaust pipe because its smoking  Are you using fresh fuel? Before you do anything, you need to do a diagnostic evaluation on the engine. 1. Compression test all four cylinders. 2. Check the timing, plugs, cap, points, condenser, rotor. 3...

    Extreme front end wobble

Yes, I agree. I had one a few years ago due to a worn steering box sector shaft bushing. Once I fixed that, all was well. Now the 'Death Wobble" (as its known) has returned. No matter though, I'm was planning a complete front end rebuild soon anyway.
