Dear Santa, More new members in our Hudson Valley MARC Club!

"Sweet Spot" for my 1930 Cabriolet is 45-50 when factoring in motor and brakes. I have a Snyders 6.1 head, and a Borg Warner T5 transmission. On a flat stretch in 5th gear you hardly notice the engine running; rpm's at 1900.

My father was a Tool and Die Maker who passed in 1982. Back then he said that this country was losing its skilled machinists and mechanics to overseas resources; that in years to come this country would be "in trouble"! It's now happening. Future employment opportunities here will provide nice...

Something is better than nothing!

Bob, I have an organized collection of MARC and MAFCA magazines dating back to the late 1950"s; they are bound in binders in my garage. This morning I will go and check to see if I have that issue and will gladly send you a photo copy. If I feel that the December issue is not worth saving I will...

Hi again, I should have mentioned that the A-9193 TX screen has to be separately purchased with the valve; cost is $5.60.

Hi, Snyders sells a "Fuel Shut Off Valve" with a "A-9193 Screen"; $34.00. I have both in the last year and they work as advertised-"Wont Leak!". Definitely a major upgrade as I went thru 2 different valves in the previous 7 years.

The music of the road and motor is all I need to enjoy the ride! GD

I bought a 1930 Model A Cabriolet in 2017 with a Borg WarnerT5 Transmission; the speedometer/odometer did not work. Someone put me in touch with Eddie Pruette; he makes custom Model A parts. I purchased a custom made 10' speedo cable from him, and I changed the gear to an 18 tooth. The...

I bought a 12v horn directly from A&L in 2018 for $100. Adjusted it when I installed it to get the correct sound and it has performed perfectly since...a quality product! I believe that A&L now only sells to vendors so if you are interested in the A&L unit you should ask the vendor who their...

To Gene F. My wheels are 19"; the cable was approximately 10'. As for the cost and details it's best for you to contact Eddie Pruette (contact info in my post) for the cost and technical info. Good luck!

My "A" has a Borg/Warner T5 transmission. When I purchased it 7 years ago the speedo did not work. I purchased a custom cable from Eddie Pruette in California and replaced the speedo gear in the rear end to the proper number of teeth; went from 19 teeth to 18 teeth which made the MPH and...

I have a 1930 68B Cabriolet. When I purchased it in 2017 it had a black seat riser, but I don't know if that was the original color. I will say that it is a good color match for the black rubber floor mats.

Black Locust is the way to go if you can find it. Naturally rot resistant, no chemical treatment needed. I used it for fence posts and vineyard posts. The below ground part showed only a little deterioration after 25 years, the above ground part was basically 100% intact and I guess would last...

The vendors sell a graphite speedometer cable lubricant. I put in a new cable 4 years/8000 miles ago, used the graphite lubricant, and it has performed perfectly; spot-on MPH and odometer readings. I was told by Model A friends to not use grease!

68B Cabriolet- Sporty!

Ditto to Dick M's post; bought front cast iron drums from Randy. Great product, great service!

Patience, a lot of Model A friends to make up for my deficiencies as a mechanic, and the ability to enjoy and appreciate the simple. Amen!

Reggie Dog, If you google "Antique Model A Ford Pictures" you will come up with hundreds in a wide variety of settings and predicaments, including illustrated period advertisements. There is also an excellent book dedicated solely to Model A advertising titled "ADVERTISING THE MODEL A FORD" by...

I never received it and will call office tomorrow.
