Educate me on this 41 Ford grill

Top one is the one we are discussing as being aftermarket. Bottom one is a stock factory Ford grill

But not the Bob Drake reproductions... correct?

Educate me on this 41 Ford grill

What's the story with the 41 Ford grills that look like this. They are different than all the factory ones I have and have seen. This isn't the first time I've seen a set that looks like this. Thank you.

    Cruise-O-Matic Rebuilder in Florida?

Preferably have the shop R&R it. He could have his normal mechanic R&R it if needed but it'd be easier to just have one shop do both.

    Cruise-O-Matic Rebuilder in Florida?

I have a buddy with a ‘65 Mercury Montclair that needs to have his Merc-O-Matic gone through. Anyone know a reputable rebuilder in Florida (closer to Tampa the better)?

1941 Oil Filter Return Line Fitting Size?

Thank you! This got me where I needed to be, didn't even think of brake lines. 7/16-24 inverted flare. Ran to NAPA and picked up a plug for a couple of bucks that works perfectly. Gates Part# G60691-0004

1941 Oil Filter Return Line Fitting Size?

I am trying to figure out what fitting I need to plug the oil filter return line on the oil pan of my '41. I picked up a 1/4 flare brass hex plug from Ace and the diameter seems to be correct or very close to it, but the threads are different to the point it won't even start to grab. Any help...

1942/46 Ford Bumpers - are fronts the same dimensions as rears?

Thank you for your offer but I think the Mercury bumpers are completely different if I am not mistaken.

1942/46 Ford Bumpers - are fronts the same dimensions as rears?

Probably 47/48 rear bumpers as I believe this was the only difference.

    Exhaust Manifold Bolts:

Sorry for bringing this post back up but I’m planning on going the stud route on my ‘41 24 stud and am wondering where everyone is sourcing their studs from and what length do I need?

1942/46 Ford Bumpers - are fronts the same dimensions as rears?

This is what I'm curious about, I assume this is just a rear bumper mounted on the front.

1942/46 Ford Bumpers - are fronts the same dimensions as rears?

Other than the rear bumpers having the Ford script and the front bumpers having a center hole are they the same? It looks like the inner bolt holes might be closer to center on the front bumpers? As in, can I run a rear Ford script bumper on the front? Thank you as always for your help...

    1946 Ford Convertible

    Bryan at 1946Ford.com rebuilds them.

    46 convertible cowl adjustment brackets

Here is a zoomed in picture from a ‘41 Mercury Convertible off Bringatrailer.com. This is one of the only pictures I could find showing them. It is kind of hard to see since it is body color but appears to attach to the front running board bracket. I have the adjuster brackets from mine but no...

    1941 Convertible Window Regulators

Fred at Southside is getting me taken care of with a NOS regulator so thank you for the recommendation. Side note: Bryan at 1946Ford.com can rebuild them but it was slightly more than the NOS regulator.

1941 Ford Convertible Motor/Lift Lower Mounting

I’d love a diagram too. The motors that came out of the car have four wires each but my nos motors only have three (looks like they don’t have a red wire). I have a switch with some wire still attached but it’s hard to tell the colors of the wires. I assume the switch and the motors were the...

    1941 Convertible Window Regulators

The teeth on my driverside window regulator are worn. I either need to get it fixed or find one. Is anywhere rebuilding them? Are ‘41-‘48 all interchangeable?

    1941 Steering Column Shaft Removal

I jumped the gun on that assumption. The pin lines up vertically so swapping it to the other side had zero effect. Just needed to adjust the shifter linkages. Was overthinking it without everything hooked up.

1941 Ford Convertible Motor/Lift Lower Mounting

Thank you so much. Guess my holes disappeared with rust repairs by the previous owner. Sounds like most ‘41s are just disconnected from what I’m coming across.
