I know a number of Model A owners who like and even prefer to run Autolite 3076 spark plugs in the As they drive. Well, Autolite spark plugs is closing down as part of the First Brands bankruptcy. A number of our Model A vendors have some in stock, like Bert's and Sacramento. There are also...

Closing the loop: Got the battery and was very pleased with packaging. There was plenty of cushioning material in a large enough box. Battery looks great. So far my experience buying from them has been good. Now to get it in the Model A and return the core!

I ordered a 6V Optima from Advance Auto Parts. Was 187.99 prior to 20% off via discount code and free shipping. I'll have to return a core to the store to get back another $22, but the final total will be $162.89 including tax. The code, good through 9/30/2018, is EM208K. It's supposed to...

Optima's website shows the 6V Redtop battery as "Not available for purchase"... https://www.optimabatteries.com/en-us/redtop-starting-battery/6v

Hate to say it, but Optima has discontinued their 6 volt battery. All of us who have been using Optimas will have to switch back to a conventional 6 volt battery.

I have this one and love it. It's a bit more, but the filter is out of the way more than the one in your link. https://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Model-A-Ford-Air-Filter-System-New-Hi-Boy-Lite-Weight-DESIGN/183367999661?hash=item2ab195a0ad:g:Y5oAAOSwwdpbayf2

From my experience, corn head grease is also great for lubricating the transverse springs.

I'd be interested in them for my '39, Ted!

Hi Bill - I got mine as well. They look great, and I'm looking forward to trying them out. Thanks for all your work to make this happen!

Well done Will! If I ever get the Plan finished at work, I've got to get down your way and see it!

I bought a set from Bob Drake for my Deluxe Fordor and they are top notch. They're currently out of stock, so if you can wait, they're worth it. Here's a link to the kit for a Deluxe Coupe: Brown Handle & Cranks W/Plastic Yellow Knobs & Escutcheons; fits 1939 Coupe

Congratulations Mitch!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family, Brent. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Beautiful work, Will!

For new, I have Dennis Carpenter's pumps. If I was going for rebuilt, it would be Skip's.

My Dad and I bought our 1930 Tudor when I was 15. We worked on it together and enjoyed driving it for years. After I got out of college, I slowly bought Dad out, and have been collecting parts for a complete restoration ever since. I've had three other Model As in the meantime, but always...

Happy Birthday Ron! Thank you for all you do to pass along what you've learned. We're all a little better because of you!

Thanks for sharing Bubba. Nice work!

Love it! We have some of the same favorite things!

Thanks Walt. I wasn't one who asked last year, but I will certainly order one to use for driving! Happy New Year!
