I don't know the answer, but I would think it would depend on babbitt vs inserts, counter weighted crank vs stock, lightened flywheel vs stock, cam grind (especially overlap), valve size, port work, intake and exhaust systems...probably other factors.

I think we can take a guess at the typical difference between asking and selling prices. Bob's MEDIAN data (average adjusted for inflation) shows a pretty steady $18-20k average asking price over the last 20 years. I'd guess that ASKING prices are about 20% greater than actual selling prices...
