I suspect not all 47's are the same. There were numerous running changes during the 46-48 period. Well documented in old V8 Times (and probably other places). On my 47, the rear shock mounts were factory installed, both upper and lower. So, in my case, it was only a matter of acquiring 47 shocks...

My experience has been as posted by B&S, and Glenn. I much prefer 'selected' used, original Ford parts, as opposed to many of the current new parts. Problem is, how to find the used parts. I've used up my old-time stash.

Seems to me, if you want to do that, you would have to separate the drag link, unbolt the box from the frame, lift the truck, drop the box and shaft out the bottom. Mart? Your thoughts?
