    Holley 94 rebuild questions

The one in my hand... While I don't have a BB around to check, and it's been a long time since I've used an air rifle... I think what was there is very similar in size, to the best of my recognition. It was significantly larger than that of the ball under the pump plunger. My best guess was a...

    Holley 94 rebuild questions

:) I don't think I could have made a better definitely vague answer myself (regarding the ball/needle)

    Holley 94 rebuild questions

36 is getting an 8ba. It was missing a few things, but I think you answered my question with it going to the distributor

    Holley 94 rebuild questions

Rebuilding two carbs, one for grandpa's 35, the other or my 36 pickup. The 35 has a 59ab, after pulling from long time storage, replace most of the 39 brakes and ignition. Had an issue with "vapor lock" but I think that may be due to the fact that a gasket didn't exist at the power valve. So...

    Working on grandpa's car.

By hand? No. I'm not a 200lb gorilla. With a short ratchet no problem

    Working on grandpa's car.

This was my diagnosis well. Can't rule out some other things just yet. New to these old cars but by tearing down the flathead for my truck I have seen some parts and I thought it might be this. I guess this is worth looking into. Thank you sir

    Working on grandpa's car.

Thanks Kevin. I should have stated I know it should be reverse polarity. Or maybe we now have the reverse in modern times. 🤣 A helper would be be nice, I can only see so much when my foot is attached to the starter. I hear the starter but can't see the fan move. .. I guess it's possible the...

    Working on grandpa's car.

I figured they were out there, 6v pumps. I just threw that in there to show it's been tinkered with. I don't know how to check if the car wants 12v or 6v. I don't want to damage a guage or something by throwing in a 12v battery just to kick the starter.

    Working on grandpa's car.

The car in question is a 35 roadster. Engine is a 59ab. It's been sitting out of service for at least 15 years. Battery is a year old. Never used yet. But stored in climate controlled garage since I bought it. I got 6v with my meter and I've been charging for about an hour. Car is equipped...

Got a fender brace for the truck....

Pretty rough, so had to fix it up, and because i tend to go the long way, I decided to attempt making a matching mirror image from scratch.

Adding petina to a reproduction 32 Grille Emblem

I think mightycarmods did something like this on their YouTube channel. They used various methods on different panels for a somewhat scientific experiment. Salt water, beer, and urine.

lets see your winter front grill.

Not for my truck, not even for an early v8. Looks a little small for a 28/9 model a. But it's pretty cool. If the mechanism was modified for a cable operation it'd be really cool

    Harbor freight vs eastwood mig

The desired end result of your project, coupled with your abilities is what you should be weighing. If money is tight, functional results can be had with harbor freight junk. If abilities are lacking, spending big bucks aren't gonna give you much better results. Entry level to learn some...

    Welding Cars

I'm using my cheapo "mig" from harbor freight with fluxcore for tacks on the truck or when convenient. And my grandpa's Miller 320a/bp. For all the welding I do now. Thing is as big as a fridge and as heavy as a Civic, I have been getting some success with that setup, I imagine because it's old...

Happy turkey day, had ours Sunday, so this is for yall

Here is a crappy pic of the underside. And starting the piecing together on the next side. Rolled a flange to give some strength to the weld in regards to keeping my noob *** from warping the metal with heat, cut it out after and cleaned it up a bit

Happy turkey day, had ours Sunday, so this is for yall

Original hood was pretty much junk. I cut the side hinges off after far too much wasted time trying to bang them out and patch them up. I got them close enough to make a template and rolled new steel. Also modified the design for a 35 passenger center hinge
