Glad to see the bed is coming along. What are you plans for the floor? Repop? I'm excited to see how the rear fenders turn out!

1941 Ford Pickup frame-off restore for the next generation

The truck is looking incredible. For what it's worth, I think the unpainted motor and drive train is really neat. The truck will definitely look nice and clean from the outside but there is something really cool about seeing mechanical sections/components that are unmolested. Also, it's no cool...

1939 1/2 Ton Trivia a.k.a. "More Stuff We Can't Figure Out"

I actually had time to work on the hood today. When I was stripping the hood, I came across the same thing that I have come across on the other stuff - the original color. For some reason, it seems as though this hood has the latching prop that may have been used in '38, but all signs point to...

1939 1/2 Ton Trivia a.k.a. "More Stuff We Can't Figure Out"

I guess it is very possible that a '38 hood was put on at some point. How is your '39 hood propped up? As far as photos go, I will keep that in mind as there is a fair amount of stuff that will need reference pics come time for repair.

1939 1/2 Ton Trivia a.k.a. "More Stuff We Can't Figure Out"

With the vast amounts of information out there, we are once again hitting road blocks trying to figure out some details on this old truck. As always, any help and guidance is greatly appreciated. 1. Under-dash vacuum lines - there are two of these (one on each side) under the dash. What are...

    1939 Pickup Hub Conversion

Thanks for all the info. This makes sense and gives me solid direction. I figured it would be way more complicated than it seems to be.

    1939 Pickup Hub Conversion

It's that simple? Different brake drums? Nothing else (hubs, etc.) need changed?

    1939 Pickup Hub Conversion

Any information/resources available that I could use to figure out how a person would modify front and rear hub/brake assemblies to run a more modern-day wheel on a 1/2 ton pickup instead of the original artillery ones? I have been scouring this site and others and am having trouble finding...

1941 Ford Pickup frame-off restore for the next generation

Glad you made it back without losing anything. I like the pic you took outside Preston's Garage. I'll have my '66 there taking some pics this summer hopefully.

    1939 Pickup (91C) Front Passenger-Side Fender

Front passenger-side fender off of 91C (1/2 ton) pickup. Fender is very workable/usable. Areas that will require patches have more than enough metal to use as reference in order to fabricate patch panels. No dents/damage have sacrificed geometry (arcs, etc.) of the fender and I don't believe...

Box off of 1939 Ford Pickup (91C, 1/2 ton). Price includes box AND rear fenders. Spare tire mount and any other vehicle parts shown are NOT included. Rear fenders and box are workable and rear fenders of this style are extremely hard to find. Somewhere along the line, the fenders were...
