Thanks for the clarification. So is there anything on the frame or body which indicates the body style????

Thanks for the info guys, I will continue trying to determine the stampings...

A buddy recently bought a 33/34 frame which has incomplete 3 window coupe semi attached. It came with a very old ownership (title) from Ontario, Canada. The title shows a '34 Ford, serial number C187415, model W8. Looking in my Ford Restoration book it shows this serial number was built in Oct...

I have the exact same setup from MCF. The install instructions state to torque the 4 blower to intake bolts to 10 ft/lbs. as they are concerned about distorting the blower case. I torque mine 15 ft/lbs and had no problems for the last 30 years

Can't help on the point gap but for the best off-boost performance I would run 8d initial timing with 18d centrifigal. Install a MSD boost control which allows for boost retard of 1-3 d per pound of boost. If your running 5 lb of total boost set the boost control at approx. 1.5 deg retard which...

I can't say it adds any esthsetic looks to the otherwise great look of a '33 or '34 Ford.. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Your engine is very close mine. I have 425 Offy heads which means the area over the valves is 4.25" deep. They have been milled a further .040" which reduces the chamber volume to provide reduced compression ratio and better flow over the valves. My cam is also schneider which replicates the...

I always thought that only rumble seat cars had the wind down window to facilitate talking to rumble seat passengers. Am I wrong?????

Many of Mark Kirbys (RIP) 0f Motor City Flathead were done this way. 8BA block with 59A heads. Just a couple of holes to plug. My engine from Mark came this way in the early 1990s. Still running great...

I was about to order a new rad for my '33 roadster from The Brass Works until I saw the price $1764.00 YIKES!!! My original rad needs a recore but the upper and lower tanks look good. Question... What would a re-core cost and is there someone in the Tampa Florida area that could do a quality...

Judging by the pulley sizing I see, it appears this centrifigal blower operates at about 50% over engine speed. A ratio of 1 to 1.5. Seems low until I noticed there is a gear driven overdrive on the blower blower housing.

Definitely from a Ford Super coupe, 1989 thru to 1994.. I own one...

Has anyone installed a windage tray on a 8BA??? If so, was it hand fabricated and was there an advantage in oil aeration or HP gain. This is in relation for a heavily modified, supercharged 8BA...

My full flow system uses AN hose and fittings from the pump to the exit on the oil pan. Makes things a lot easier to install and as close to 100% reliable as it can get..

The "325" stamp is the depth of the combustion chamber on a Offy head. They came in a number of different depths dependant on the compression ratio and cam lift the buyer may want.

My engine was built by Mark (RIP) in the early 90's. Looks like the same configuration as yours. Early heads (Offy) on a 8BA block, B&M blower, Potvin cam. The engine number is stamped on the right front, between the intake and heads. These were well built engines that built really good power...

If you are using electric oil pressure gauge ensure the needle is on '0' with power on. I had this problem with some expensive gauges (it showed -10psi) so I installed a mechanical gauge on the engine which showed the electric gauge was in fact reading low. I verified this with 2 other...

I guess the upside of being 90 is you're too old to die young.. Happy Birthday Ron

My 1872 farm house has walls filled with sawdust, probably from the from milling of the 2 x 6 (actual size) studs used in this "balloon" framed house. They run from the foundation to the peak of the roof. I have added 1" of high density foam board to the outside and re-installed the board and...
