I found board at a place called mill end fabrics in reno nevada a few years back. I found two sizes 60 x 40 and 48 x 30. The smaller is black on both sides the larger is brown on one side. The smaller black looks almost identical to my 40 ford door panel board. I understand you are not in the...

Don't know if this would work for you but among my various parts I had a master cylinder cap that looked more like steel or maybe cast aluminum rather than the cast iron caps most of them had. I drilled and tapped it so I could put a fitting to use my pressure bleeder. I don't know how or where...

Just a quick note to put this issue to bed. Finally got a callback from the salvage yard that had the auction. She told me that was the title they had and was not their problem. LOL. So went to DMV and the lady gave me the form so I can have a sheriff or highway patrolman verify the vin number...

I live in Utah. I know they allow a builders title for old cars. I think place to start is with the auction people and go from there. Will try to get a couple pictures posted and measure the wheelbase today. But there is agreement that the BB is part of the vin?

The vin listed on title is 6705939. If I can get a new title or the number changed should I use the BB along with the rest of the vin?

Sorry have been so long to reply and thank all of you for your input. Been a tough couple of weeks dealing with family issues. Barnfind08 I definitely am interested in one of the extensions. I'm new to this so don't know how personal contacts work. Do I post my contact info or is there...

Thanks. I was afraid of that. Do you think if I could find a 39 to 41 221 crank I could have the mains ground from the 2.5 to the earlier 2.4? The rod journal diameter is the same. And the stroke is the same. Or do you think I'm off base here? .

I purchased a 1938 ford flathead to run in my 40 sedan. I was unaware the crankshaft was lengthened in 39 to account for the hub with the fan. Does anyone have any idea how to use the 40 hub on the earlier crankshaft? Thanks Dave
