Any particular antifreeze for a 221 flathead

Time to get my rebuilt truck ready for its first winter since restored. I use the old green antifreeze in most of the farm equipment round the shop. Will that be fine in the flathead. If not what you guys recomend. Thanks.

Ha ha, thanks!! Actually in that video, when I stopped again at the end, the folks that actually had the fencerow the truck had been in for years, drove from Missouri to see the old truck in the parade, I had to stop for them!

Pops 36 Ford made the Parade!

About a year to date after the old truck was rescued from a fence row. I got it completed enough to make the 75th annual Labor Day parade in Rector. I've still got some interior stuff to finish and I have a guy working in the windshield, but otherwise it looks better than I could if ever...

Cutting it close but plan on having it in its first parade on Labor Day! Painting the last fender tommorow then will have it all to put together There's still some interior work but will pretty much be done on the exterior. I'm having a well known local guy come on Thursday who can paint the...

    Brake switch 1936 Ford truck..

I'm trying to get the ole truck road legal before I drive it to town for the parade on labor day. I have an original brake switch that screws on the transmission for the brake lights. Is there suppose to be a spring that attaches from the switch to the brake pedal? I think there is, but I...

    Saving a family treasure...(1936 1and1/2 ton)

It's been awhile since I've been on here, but farming season got busy and I've not done much work on Pop's truck for a couple months. It's slowed down enough, and with my deadline of having this truck ready for the labor day parade, I better get on it. Got some wood metal strips from Horkys...

    Saving a family treasure...(1936 1and1/2 ton)

I haven't been in in awhile, farming season has slowed down the progress. However it came a big rain last week so got to work on the bed, and got it mounted. It had 2 boards put together originally that measured a tad over 2.5 inches wide and a tad over 7 inches tall. I had enough threads...

    Saving a family treasure...(1936 1and1/2 ton)

As I've documented the journey on my facebook as well, it caught the attention of the lady at the local paper, she came to the farm one day, and talked to dad and I about the history of the old truck and actually put the story of the truck on a regional publication here at home called Delta...

Took a ride with Pop this morning! (video)

After getting the ****** hooked up the night before, and letting the engine run for awhile in the shop, I couldn't wait to take a small stroll in the old truck and to see how the transmission acted, as I've done nothing to it except change the oil. So I fired it off and took a little drive...
