You can put a 302 in very easy,you need a rear sump oil pan and parts from a truck and rig up some mounts similar to 1964 Ford.Did it once,good choice too or a 351 windsor works well too. Good luck.

Ok Guys finally got around to drive it again,30 miles the other day and this morning looked at the Spark plugs, they now look good with the #50 jets in it, gotta check the mileage next. Will keep you posted. PS: I do have the 57 Dist in it too. Jack

Sold,Sold,Sold,all the parts are gone plus the trailer,thanks to all that inquired and special thanks to FORD BARN. A couple of Great guys came down from Roanoke,Va and worked non stop for five hours loading it all.

I have pictures of the trailer,it is an old "Jartran" Measures about 4' wide x 6' deep and 5' high,its enclosed and does not leak,well built with 15" tires and wheels.Tows very nice behind any vehicle.For the price of $1000 I could garuntee Recovering the money in one (Large) fleamarket set...

Not too awfull long ago (Maybe 20 yrs) I used to get 15-16 MPG on these "Y" Blocks.I also got a 55 Merc with a 57 Ford two barrel on it and only get 12-13 MPG. I guess its the crappy gas we get now? Jack

Thanks for all the nice comments and info so far.I took the carb off this morning and it had #53 Jets in it. I put some #50s in it and it still runs good (As it did before) will see if that helps.Thanks again The Carb is a #94 (1 1/4" Throat.

I had the same question a few years ago and found out that the mirrors where dealer mounted according customer wants.Cause if you look at any sales brochures there are no mirrors mounted?
