I have seen people use duct tape as a liner. The problem with this is the seam, where you cut the tape. will chafe the tube.

The spring is intended to be hooked on the stock motor mount. If you have Float-A-Motor mounts you will have to figure something out as they don't accommodate it.

Parking my roadster on the Levee here in SE Louisiana recently, I managed to get it stuck in the mud. I couldn't find any fat girls to bounce in my rumble seat but I was able to spray mud all over a group of good Samaritans who were kind enough to give me a push.

I left my key on once with the points closed and the coil got so hot I couldn't touch it. I let it cool down for a couple of hours and the car started right up. I drove for about 5 blocks and it quit. I had to walk home and retrieve another coil. I installed it on the side of the road and no...

This: I once replaced my sagging rear motor mounts with float-a-motors and when I replaced my (homemade) floorboard the pedals no longer came all the way up and dragged against it.

I remember, back in the 60s, J C Whitney selling a type of "Friction Shock" which fit like originals but looked different.

That's very interesting. My car came from Michigan and had Roadster clearly denoted on the Michigan title. Perhaps the PO had it titled before this practice. Makes me wonder how they would handle an Isetta or a model T touring with 3 doors.

Way down yonder in New Orleans

Apparently the State of Louisiana didn't know what a "Roadster" was so they looked at the picture enclosed and titled my car as a Two Door. I didn't want to open a can of worms trying to enlighten them so now I have the worlds only Tudor with a rumble seat. If you're not going to enter it in...

Mine installed from the bottom but I had to file the bullet ends a bit as they were oversized (as per Bratton's instructions). Works fine every time. Thanks Guys

Thanks Rick.

Does it matter which side the wires go on when connecting the horn from the wiring harness? It's a new Sparton horn from Bratton's if that makes any difference. The instructions just say "Plug in the wires."

My original spontaneously caught on fire one day. Sounded like Jolsen begging for a spare dime in the background.

I have already set my Model A on fire three times. I think I'll ultimately wind up in a Model A urn whether I want to or not.

I can remember when "gay" meant happy or festive.

Funny. I have to remember this next time.

Where is the cigarette machine?!

The last time I tried to buy a set of points and a condenser for a Model A from NAPA The counter man told me they didn't have them. "Look again, I said. I just bought a set a few months ago." He turned the screen towards me and said "Yes, last July you bought the last set we had and we didn't...

In the 60s I bought Model A parts from them. I remember buying a radiator ($60.00 I think) and a wiring harness. Both fit and worked well.

The price I was quoted included a bunch of magazine subscriptions I didn't want $177.00 I have only been a member of MARC for a few months. Not favorably impressed.
