    Babbiting

It's not exactly Ohio, but I recommend Dennis Piranio of Piranio Antique Automotive in Denton, Texas. Excellent babbit and machine work. If you are planning on a touring engine, I suggest you talk to him or look at his website. For me he rebabitted and line bored the block, counterbalanced...

Steering Wheel Install - What did I do wrong?

Thanks for the replies. I'm pretty sure I installed the bushing but I will double check. The horn rod is the orignal rod so there should not be any fitment issues. I may have found the culprit. The light switch fits inside a recess in the steering wheel. The recess is not concentric with...

    Elkpointe & Kawanee Green Paint

Here is my version. Used the color chips in the paint manual to get as close as I could working with the folks at the local English Color store. And then, at the end of the day, I went with what I thought was the best looking since I'm the one living with it every day. Still needs the straw...

    Timing gear Recess

The recess/indention in the timing gear that is used when setting the timing on my car is very shallow and I have a hard time finding TDC for #1 cylinder. This is a new fiber gear that I installed when rebuilding the engine. Has anyone else had this issue? I remember my first Model A back in...

    Stop Light Location

Where can I find dimensional data on the location of the stop light bracket on the rear fenders (I'm putting stop lights on both fenders)? I didn't have enough sense to measure the bolt holes on the old fender before I sold it! Assumed he new left fender would have holes already in it. Wrong...

    Exhaust leak secrets

What's the trick to stopping a small leak between the exhaust manifold and muffler? I bought a new clamp, seal, and exhaust sleeve. made sure there was a good fit between the muffler and manifold mating surfaces. Still a small leak. Suggestions?

    Windshield - what goes here??

Thanks Jason. That flat piece is what I didn't see looking into the hole. I have ordered a screw kit which includes the nuts. Thanks.

    Windshield - what goes here??

Jason, Thanks for the response. I have the piece you are talking about and the screws fit into the side of the frame as you state. But mine also has two holes at the top (one each side) as shown in the photo. There was a screw of some sort in them when I took the glass out. Just too old and...
