    T. Harris wiring harness

I have seen Tyree Harris' name mentioned on the Forum regarding wiring harnesses for Model A's. I wrote the address tyreewires@g.mail.com but it came back as invalid. Would anyone have his correct e-mail address? Thanks

headlights & cowl lights on at same time

Thank you for the diagrams! The car is the deluxe model so I do believe the cowl lights are original but will still do as you suggested to be certain.

headlights & cowl lights on at same time

Re: alllightson Thanks to those with all the helpful suggestions. I did change the title to...''headlight & cowl lights on at same time''. This weekend I will remove the light switch body and see what sense can be made of it.I'm sure it's the original wiring in there.

headlights & cowl lights on at same time

When I turn the headlights on the cowls are also on. There seems to be just a high beam even when I switch to low beam. Basically all the light are on when I move the headlight/ cowl light switch. But the taillights never go on but the brake lights work. Where does one begin to unravel this ...

    gasshutoffvalveissue

ALMOST FORGOT. Do I need any gas resistant packing grease when the manual gas valve is reinserted into the tank or is the pipe thread sufficient? Thanks.

SeaSlugs..reply#2 Are you thinking that the debri caused both the manual and electronic shut offs to fail? Thanks for the reply.

    gasshutoffvalveissue

T.Wesenberg reply#3.. Forgive my ignorance but what does ''lapped the tank valve'' mean? I'm going to replace the manual gas shut off valve because I suspect their isn't a screen on it otherwise how could debri get past. Thanks.

    gasshutoffvalveissue

Last fall before storage I closed the shut off valve and ran the engine until it sputtered. (I also have an electronic shutoff). Two days later noticed carb was leaking. I let it leak all winter. Yesterday I cleaned out the sediment bowl, drained the tank ,refilled and drained several more times...

    carb diaper?

I have a ''no name''carb. It was leaking a bit so put in new gaskets. It still leaks, maybe a tablespoon 24-36 hours. Sometimes more. I've made no other corrections: adjust float, float valve, etc. When I shut it down for the winter I ran it out of gas, closed the gas shut off switch and closed...

    god bless the Chinese but...

Thanks for the thoughtful replies. There still seems to be, in general, a negative reaction to Chinese manufacturing regarding automotive parts. That's why I was looking for some ''real proof'' rather than anecdotal comments.( I suppose anecdotal could be interpreted as real proof). If I...

    god bless the Chinese but...

I just received a complete set of wheel bearings and see they are made in China. Brattons sells U.S. and Mexico made wheel bearings. I was going to return the Chinese products but would like to know if anyone out there can give me some real proof that it makes a difference. Thanks.
