    Rear Axle Keys

    When I bought my Model A, one side of the rear axle had a "REX A " carbon steel tool bit for a key. It had been used as a lathe tool. When we disassembled the rear axle and housing, we were faced with an entire rebuild including axles. What a mess;

    Idle speed

    I've installed a Marvel Shaber carburetor. When I idle with the spark fully retarted, I get a real nice low idle. Maybe to slow?? I notice the ampmeter goes from a slight charge to a slight discharge. I do have the generator lookalike alternator (Powermaster). With the spark advanced 1/4 way...

    Champion 3X

    So, I am so fortunate that my wife bought me my first set of 3X spark plugs. My question is, the copper washers are cupped. Does the cup face the plug, or the cylinder head. Another words u or n? Thank You;

    Can not shift to 2nd or 3rd gear

    I had a similar problem. I found that while I was double clutching for first to second, I would move the shifter from right to left (in the middle) a couple of times, and then go to second. It only happened from first to second. It has since worked itself out. I think mine was a little...

    Engine Oil?

    You can use the Rotella T Triple Protection 15W-40 especially for older engines with flat tappets because this motor oil has 1200 ppm of zinc for more wear protection. I hope this helps. Best regards, Kevin Shell Technical Help Desk - US

    Interested in a 1930 Model A with no title

    In Massachusetts, a title is required, however I purchased a car without a title. I had the police come to my house, they checked the serial number, and provided me a document to go with my bill of sale, to bring with me to the DMV. The DMV collected sales tax based on a table the state has...

    Vehicle Inspection

    The inspection station I go to in Massachusetts looks at lights, horn, wiper operation, tire tread and overall appearance to evaluate condition. They also have to drive it in and out of the inspection bay. They do check the brakes in the parking break during the drive-in and return to the...
