    Stromberg Power Valve Tool

The TMC-38 looks like it's for the large brass plug over the float valve on Holley two and four barrel teapot style carbs. The blade may be too thick for the Stromberg main jet plugs. Sal

    Y Block Fuel Pump

I agree, China supplies junk fuel pumps. You can try X Ford Barn member Charlie ny I know he does fuel pumps too, as well as carburetors ect Charlie Schwendler (716) 662-9159 cas5845@yahoo.com

    Stromberg inlet valve wrong size

I'm not a fan of the Grose Jet too. I did a six carb set up on an '57 Olds J2 engine, and two of the six carbs had flooding issues. The fuel pressure was not excessive. Too bad all of the official Stromber carb kits come with them. Sal

    Leaky Holley 885

If it were mine, I would look for a core carb on EBAY for the same model year, and use the bowl from it. I see them quite often and usually very affordable. Sal

    Holley 94 carb

Holley jets are 1/4"-32, so doesn't sound like they will work in you carb which I assume is a Chinese knock of (AKA not the best choice). Sal

Need help with fuel bowl vent on Holley 2300..

"Those vents provide fuel bowl vapor escape. The main vents do not do that on the fuel bowl design you have. Do you feel the carb bowl you have being discussed is the correct one? Does the sight plug height match the front carb sight plug (center and ends are different heights)?" The vent...

Need help with fuel bowl vent on Holley 2300..

I agree the bowls need to be vented only to make the carbs concourse correct, if that's your objective, but there are plenty of Holley's made without a vent on the bowls. All have a main vent for the bowls located on the choke tower wall. Sal

Need help with fuel bowl vent on Holley 2300..

If fuel is coming out of that vent hole, then the carb is flooding over, either from dirt in the fuel valve or just defective. Could also be excessive fuel pressure. You can just put the cup shaped metal cap back over it. Don't worry about the other two carbs, since they still have bowl vents...

    Dry fuel bowl overnight

Since the rear bowl doesn't lose fuel, it sounds like the power valve diaphragm is ruptured and leaking down a vacuum hole into the manifold. The rear bowl doesn't have a power valve . If you remove the power valve cover under the front bowl, and the power valve is wet with fuel on the vacuum...

    Stromberg Idle Jets removal??

I've had pretty good luck by tapping the screw head with a screw driver and light hammer. Then with a small propane bottle heat the die casting that surrounds the idle jet to expand it. Then the idle jet should back out unless the screw driver slot is stripped out. I would also remove the brass...

Are you talking about the three positions for the accelerator pump link ? If so, it has nothing to do with how lean or rich your carburetor runs. Sal

    1954 Mwercury 256 hrd starting

Yes, the choke butterlies should be completely colsed when you set the choke cold. The vacuum piston in the choke assembly on the manifold will crack the choke open slightly as soon as the engine starts. Sal
