    Dwell Meter Kal-Equip T-111 manual

I have a couple of these Kal-Equip meters, two are Tachometers, and the other two are Dwell meters. All are in good cosmetic condition, but only the Tachometers function. Does anyone have these Kal-Equip Dwell meters that still work, or are mine just "special" ? Thanks !

    Coolant in the oil pan

I second / third / fourth to recommendations to drain the cooling system, flush, and refill with straight water, and run that way until you are DEAD CERTAIN the leak is fixed. Antifreeze in the oil WILL destroy the babbit. PERIOD. Make there is an ignition cable-clamp under # 8 head-nut, or...

    ultimate 600w replacement

EP (Extreme Pressure) lubricants should not be needed in a Model A. They are essential for Hypoid rear-ends, which were developed later-on. Model A just has spiral-bevel in the rear. Straight-cut spur-gears in the ******.

    Jack town this weekend!

This is a GREAT show for old tractors, hit'n'miss engines, flea-mart (lots of old rusty man-stuff!). 1/2 hour South of I-80 below Stroudsburg, PA.

    Bars leak duration

Well, water will cause the ferrous parts to corrode after a while, and the resulting rough surfaces will abrade the babbitt, but ethylene glycol reacts chemically with the babbitt, causing it to crystallize and disintegrate, rather rapidly. In the crankcase, neither one is "good", but...

    Bars leak duration

If you are running anti-freeze, suggest you dump it and switch to water / rust inhibitor / Bars Leak. If antifreeze gets into the oil, it will destroy your babbitt !

The Grapes of Wrath... Here's a thread discussing the sad end to the car from the film... beginning with a link to the auction flyer for the "sympathetically restored" Hudson Super-Six... I really got my fur up over this one... :/ http://forums.aaca.org/topic/142559-todays-wind-em-up/

Were Original Tires Easier to Remove?

The old cotton cord tires may have been softer... but then often the rubber hardens with age. I heartily agree with #2 - it goes a lot faster if you're not worrying about protecting nice paint. I haven't tried mounting band-new tires; I've only worked on the replacement / 2nd-hand tires that...

    Shocks worth the money?

I drove my '28 coupe year-round first year with it, no shocks. I didn't mind the bounce too much, but in wet weather, when the front springs got wet and loosened-up, she'd jump around like a kid-goat. Cornering was dicey. Old Henry wouldn't have put them on the car in the first place if they...

    Fan Belt Speed (pulley ratios)

If the belt is riding equally "lower" in the groove of both pulleys, then there should be no change in fan / pump speed. The effective diameters of both pulleys relative to each other is still the same. If the belt is touching only on the inside, flat surface of the belt, and not the Vee...
