    Removing fuse holder

Very similar to how I did it. Besides the engine looking original, the fuse is out of the elements.

    Check your fan blades

Werner, You need to remove the water pump and fan from the engine. Sit down, and place the fan blades on your thighs with the water pump hanging down. Screw on the tool and give it a few sharp whacks while holding the water pump so it doesn't hit the floor when the fan comes off.

    Slow leak

I accidentally pinched a new tube while trying to install it. I took it to an old time tire place to get it patched. While the guy was working on it, I mentioned, as a kid I remembered patches being set on fire. He told me the EPA outlawed those.

    Engine and frame numbers

Dean, I think you are not understanding the original engine was replaced with another engine. That's why there are two sets of numbers on the replacement engine.

    Headlight Switch positions Swapped?

Joe, The ground wire needs to go on the light socket. I put a ring on a ground wire, and then ran the adjusting screw for the light socket thru the ring behind the socket. Then ran the wire thru the conduit to a ground.

    Mechanical Questions

I've been thinking about this, and I now think it is wrong. I think the reason for the indexing is so the camshaft is in the correct position, in relation to the timing dimple. It's been awhile since I changed one.

    Mechanical Questions

If you're talking about the rectangular cam nut, the vendors sell a tool that fits it. Otherwise, the vendors sell a modern nut that can be tightened with a large socket. I believe the cam gear is indexed so it can't be mounted backwards.

    Dad's Birthday

My Dad bought a 1930 Model A coupe used, in 1933. He and his cousin drove it from Columbus, OH to the Chicago Worlds Fair in 1934. He passed away in 2007, before I got my 1930 coupe. I'd love to ask him questions about his, and I wish he could see mine.

    Dad's Birthday

Cool Sears house! I grew up in Columbus, OH and my Dad was born in 1912. He once showed me a house in our neighborhood that was a Sears house. Over the years, it was expanded with an addition, and had had at least one facelift.

Thanks Bruce, I meant diodes and said resistors. I corrected the post. I had to use diodes to keep the circuits separate. Fred

    Fuel Gauge

The aluminium tool I bought around a year ago, worked fine for me and also for a friend i loaned to. I did have to hold pressure against it, towards the firewall. Possibly the nuts weren't on as tight as yours tho.

How much Marvel Mystery Oil per tank?

Ounce markings are on the side of the U S sold bottles. I'd expect similar markings for other countries.
