    Fordor Rear Seat Cushion Wood

If I understand your question, you need dimensions for the seat bottom. JayJay is correct, the back is more difficult, the bottom should be okay with some hand power tools and some time. I have a Murray and can measure up the bottom for you. Henry used ash because it was cheap, it is't now. If...

I have a set of two with unique number A3130. They are 31/32 so not sure if they would be proper for your car. Let me know.

installing stainless trim on running board

Just did new rubber and trim on my 30. Trial fit everything first and trim the mat to fit. The trim piece closest to the splash apron should be treaded onto the mat, then glue it all down. I used the gel style contact cement common to formica kitchen counters since I was gluing to original...

    Rear Axle Bent?

I appreciate your dedication to solving the problem although it seems minor as you describe it. The very end of the axle could be bent, but the design of the axle would make it difficult to do. If these cars could talk they might be able to explain some of the unique problems they present...

Alternative Fuels in a Model A

Kurt in NJ mentioned the wood gas generator. Tampa Bay Auto Museum has a 1929 Model A sedan with a Gazogene conversion, used in Spain in the late 30's. They claim that it still runs on charcoal. Take a look at the write up at http://www.tbauto.org. Like to see it run!

    Broken Carburetor Jet

I agree with the method of heat then cold. Makes them loose so they will remove more easily. You may not have a torch. Make sure all the gas has evaporated, then put it on your gas grill on high for about a half hour. That should run it up over 500 degrees. Then drop it in a bucket of ice water.

    Poor mans roof

There seem to be lots of answers to this problem. I used clear latex roof sealant from the lumber store on my original unrestored sedan top, leftover from a home project. (for house roofs) It goes on milky but dries clear. I added the black roof coat from Snyder's a few months later. It...

    Wanted a roadster

If you know anyone who has either, you may want to try sitting in each. I find it much easier to get into a 30/31 because of seat to door frame spacing. If you live up north, a roadster is somewhat less practical in winter if you plan to cruise year round. You may also consider a cabriolet. Buy...

I like the Best brand gasket available from secretsofspeed.com. Not copper, not sure what kind of space age material but highest quality available.

    Shipping Body Only

Buddridge, You can always get a variety of answers for any question on the barn. I also visit other websites and I noticed on the AACA forum there is a category for trailers and towing where car guys who are already making the trip have room or are going one way empty. It's a free site also and...

A400 or 68C top hold down brackets

There is an underscore mark between the c and the b in my email address. Some programs underscore the email address and obliterate the underscore mark.

A400 or 68C top hold down brackets

This looks like both sides of the hold down bracket that attach to the top header of an A400. Correct? If so, consider them sold. Please reply to my email at tc_bmiller@yahoo.com so we can arrange payment and shipping. Thanks,

    USB 5v power from Model A 6v geni/battery

Freddo, If you do decide to hook up a cigar lighter plug to power your GPS, etc, it should work well for most brands. A major CAUTION. If you allow the small USB plug that powers your GPS to touch against any of the metal parts of your "A" that are grounded, it will fry the USB to 12V power...

NW Georgia Model A Club First Meeting

Looks like you are under way. Our club is located on the southside of Atlanta (Southside A's), a Marc affiliate, although many of us belong to MAFCA also. I would be happy to send a copy of our by-laws to use as a guide as you set up the club. We tour with many other local clubs. Once you get...
