Original Model A Lower Decklid Panel Bead Line Question

I am working with a 10 year old reproduction panel and I was curious, we're the originals sharper with the lower beadline? Part of me wants to sharpen up the line to be resemble the corners and beads on either side. I'd love your input.

4 Square Holes in Model A Coupe Inner Door Panel - what for?

Thanks. All my doors (currently 4 of them in the shop) only had the 3-hole window crank/regulator assembly mounted in the holes diagonal from the circled area. My build has been so slow I'd never thought about the other square holes until I was asked.

    Parts identification help, please.

I have a few parts I've been having a tough time identifying. I'm not very knowledgeable about the minute details of early Ford items that aren't 26-31 Ford. Any help identifying would be appreciated. First up is this column drop: The numbers on the back are: 301454 and there's a 77 across...

Why are there so many more 1930 grill shells than 1931s?

    Recently? I'm looking again, now.

Why are there so many more 1930 grill shells than 1931s?

Interesting BlueOval, I assumed it was the other way around for production simplicity and efficiency's sake. I currently have an okay one with both inserts and a rough one with a top insert only. The surround is pretty bad, but the insert and the bottom are good. I have a few very good top...

Why are there so many more 1930 grill shells than 1931s?

Fried Okra, take a look. Left 1930 - Right 1931 The 1931 shells had a top insert and some early ones had a bottom insert but later changed to a 1-piece lower section.

Why are there so many more 1930 grill shells than 1931s?

Bob, out of the 600-something thousand 1931 Fords were many of the early 31s a "1930" shell? That's something I've wondered, too.

Why are there so many more 1930 grill shells than 1931s?

I have been looking for a decent 1931 grill shell for my coupe for a while. I've come across a few but compared to what's available for 1930 shells, it's a noticeable difference. While twice as many 30s were made, there seems to be a 50:1 availability of 30 vs 31 grill shells. Can anyone...
