The 5 inner tubes that I was given have brass valve stems that are over 3 inches long. There’s no engraving on the stems as shown in the Judging Standards. The stems seem really wrong for my ‘28 roadster. And now two of the inner tubes have developed cracks with a lot less air pressure than 34...

I have a bud vase on the dash of the blue roadster. It hangs on a bracket that a good friend in my club made. He put a small screw on the side to lock the vase in, it bounces a little but doesn’t rattle.

With the 5 piping and the seat attachment brackets, they look like early 190-A Victoria seats, per the Judging Standards

I recently got a deal on some new rims and tires from a local man who had gotten out of the hobby. He included 5 tubes that have never been used. They are all marked “Made in China” and had brass valve stems already installed. I did some research on here and saw many comments about the quality...

Like others on this forum, I went out for a run early this morning. There was little traffic on the roads. Stopped for some coffee and then filled the tank on the roadster. $4.15 a gallon! Then came home and polished her up. Hope you all have a great day.

Mike, the list in response 5 was Pluck’s list. It used to a “Sticky” at the top of the forum page. It was taken off years ago. And of course, some of the vendors don’t exist anymore.

At the local deli today while waiting for my lunch I saw this vintage VW Beetle Jim Beam bottle. It’s still full. I know that Beam released a bunch of Model A bottles years ago. Anyone have an idea of how long ago this bottle was released?

According to the Table of Surviving 190-As in the Victoria Book published by MAFCA, and compiled by Bob Bidonde for the International Model A Victoria Association, the Vicky has an engine production date of 10/21/30. The Murray body tag number 11358 indicates the car would have been produced any...

Re: Special Coupé on BaT And the rear bumper bar is attached in back of the spare tire!

I have an original 1927 newspaper ad for The New Ford, with a Tudor that I will be glad to send you. It’s about 18x24, laminated. Send me an email at [email]Vern190A@cox.net

Kind of similar to the image attached to the announcement of the new Judging Standards with the exhaust manifold on the left side of the engine....

In the San Diego Model A Ford Club, the ladies are an integral part. Of the 7 board positions, two are female including the president, who also edits our monthly newsletter. Seven of the 12 committee chairs are ladies. In my 30 years of membership, the ladies have always been very involved...

Reading the recent thread here about Garfield tires lead me to check out the ones on my ‘28 roadster. It still has the ones put on new by the man I bought it from back in ‘92. The only number I can find on the sidewall is 087. The car doesn’t get driven much and lives in the garage, so they...

Mom is the second from the left, sitting on the running board with the cool round sunglasses!

Thanks to all of you who identified the car. And to Mercman for the original ad.

I have been trying to ID the old sedan in the photos. In the summer of 1939 my mother and 4 girlfriends went on a road trip from Springfield, Illinois to the 1939 fair in San Francisco. They went all over the western part of the US, including Mt. Rushmore, Yellowstone, Crater Lake and down to...

Once upon a time I had rebuilt an engine, put it in the car and hooked everything up. In front of some friends who were helping, I cranked it over as they shouted "SHUT IT OFF" We (I) had forgotten to torque the head bolts. Liquid was squirting out under the head. Had to quit, pop a cold one...

This is a set of six postcards celebrating Ford’s 100th anniversary. The artist is Ken Eberts. I’ll drop it in an envelope in the mail for free.

I don’t take mine out as often as I should mostly cause I’m working full-time. Still, I do love seeing it every time I step out for a beer from the garage refrigerator.

And also join the Victoria Association. You can find them online. They are the most knowledgeable group regarding the Model A Victoria.
