    1939 seat track anchor brackets

Interesting, Kube. My 39 Convertible Coupe has the separate feet as in the lower set. Could being body #19 of the convertible coupes be the reason? Just curious.

Some believe I've crossed over to the dark side. 39/40 vs. '36

Nice score Michael. That thing looks great. Add me to the camp of leaving it unrestored and just making it mechanically sound. With your track record of impeccable restorations, it’s not like you have to prove you are capable. Lol. I’m looking forward to see what you decide to do with it, and...

Removing female dovetail assembly on 39 Conv

Hahaa. Never mind. I see how the innards come out now. I still need to tig up the lower edge of the opening and straighten that up, but I should be able to do that with the housing still in place.

Removing female dovetail assembly on 39 Conv

As the title states, I need to remove the dovetail assemblies in the b pillar on my 39 Conv. I know I’ll have to drill the rivets out, but I don’t see a way to get it out of the b pillar once it’s loose. The b pillar is totally enclosed on all sides.

    37 coupe RTS T-170 swap!

I had to weld up the rear mount area on the tailhousing and re drill and tap it, so I could narrow it enough to where it would slide backwards into the open area to clear the clutch. Of course that means extending the trans cover rearward so the trans can come out.

    37 coupe RTS T-170 swap!

Here’s how I modified my 39 with the body off of course. I wanted to be able to easily pull the trans if I had to from the top side.

New Rockers for a 1939 Convertible

I just cut the old floor out of my 39 Convertible coupe this afternoon. None of the floor had ever been touched and it only had two thicknesses present, the floor pan and the rocker panel over the top of it. No “sub rail” as has been mentioned. It is a very early body, #19, so maybe that is why...

    Rotisserie recommendations

I second that on the Whirly Jig. A little costlier than some, but I've been well pleased with mine. I have had it since 2006.

    Ever seen these?

A friend of mine brought these by today trying to find out something about them. They are new still in what’s left of the box. Has anyone ever seen a set of these?

remote oil filter, 59 ab, 36 coupe

I would suggest some 45* fittings in the housing so you can mount it vertically. Less mess when you’re changing the oil. Then add a stone shield as you had planned and you should be good to go.
