Welcome to the New 52-59 Ford group

Yep, thanks. I have also been a member here on the Ford Barn for a long time but don't check in often.

    Chickasha OK swapmeet

Yep, likely worth driving 100 or so miles to get there. I have been going to it for probably 25 years and the last few I have been at are like most swap meets and not as good as they used to be. However, you just never know.

Aerostar Springs and the bump stops?

I cut the ones on my 56 in half to have more travel. I had them out for a while when I had blocks instead of the Aerostar springs and definitely had a hard hit! But, the stops are too tall to have much travel full height with the new springs.

1928 Model AA Truck w/Dump Bed and Parts Truck

*************SOLD*************Not sure if this is a 28 or 29, but it is very complete and comes with an additional parts truck that has another frame, engine, cab, and suspension. It has some of the usual rust in the lower cowl, etc. but is a fairly decent truck overall. It does not run and...

"New Guy" from Oklahoma w/56 Fairlane

Thanks for all the comments and warm welcomes. My boys have grown up in old cars since before they could walk and my oldest (now 7) loves them. My girls are just now learning. I took all four of them to the car show in Salina and gave my wife a well-deserved break back in August. Anyway, I...

"New Guy" from Oklahoma w/56 Fairlane

Here is the story of how I ended up with "Ruth" (which was the name of the original owner)... Early December of 2010, a guy that I work with came to me and asked me if a friend of mine might be interested in a 56 Ford that his brother wanted to sell. So, naturally I had to ask some questions...

"New Guy" from Oklahoma w/56 Fairlane

Well, I have been on here for about a year and a half now, but really haven't posted anything other than trying to sell my Model T. I now have an original-unrestored 56 Fairlane and plan to be a little more involved. Thanks for having me! Jeff

    Aluminum wheel clearcoat removal

I have used paint remover on a few sets of aluminum wheels to either remove clear coat or colored paint. It worked well and didn't damage the wheel at all. I just used "Aircraft" stripper made by Klean Strip and applied it liberally and then blew the paint off with high pressure water. Any...

Sorry guys...I apparently don't check on this often enough. Here are a few more pics that I have although they are from after I pulled it out of a barn before a bath a fews years ago when I bought it... Jeff

    1926 Model T Coupe

********************SOLD*****************This car is a very solid original car and I really hate to sell it, although I need to raise some money for adopting a couple girls so I am selling off a few projects. Anyway, it is a 26 T coupe. The body is very nice and solid. There is one spot...
