MikeK Fuel pump is mounted on the inside of the frame rail. I did check for flow after the pump and it was very good. Gas cap vent is working. I do have a stock glass sediment bowl with a filter in it. How would this create vapor lock?

I apologize for not getting the photo's posted that I promised. I ended up out of town for work and was not able to take them. I see the post from denis4x4 and this looks exactly the same as my set up.

I have a 29 tudor project I am finishing up. It has a dropped headlight bar with the horn mounted to it. The previous owner mounted the horn using a shift arm from a Muncie 4 speed. It's tight but it fits good and looks pretty good. I'll try to post a picture or two in the next couple of days

I got my second rebuilt carb from Bratton's and it works, no leaks. Guess it was just the needle valve not seating. Bratton's was great to work with.

Well I called Brattons and they offered to send out another rebuilt. I worked with their carburator guy on the phone and checked the float for leaks, float height, took out the valve and disassembled it to check for debris. Didn't find any so I put it back together and reinstalled it on the car...

Thanks for the great replies. Bratton's sends an instruction sheet with the carb that has a toll free number to call for help which I plan to do today. Checking on the float for leaks and height setting also sounds like a good step in figuring this out. I'll try that and post what I find. THANKS!!
