Thanks for the good info. My existing ****** has several gear teeth chipped off, to the point of it not being able to shift thru the gears when I drive it. I plan to remove the ****** next week and take it apart to see if things can be replaced. Not sure how complicated that will be. Also...

This attachment shows my 37 column drop.

On my 37 Fordor the tubes were routed behind the side kickpanels and exited via a hole in the bottom of that area. gregg

wow, that looks like a part to the front bench seat. I have those same parts stashed in my front seat pile of stuff. In the attached pic, it shows the one on the driver's side, close to the handle lever. gregg
