    Transmission case

Sorry if I couldn't make myself clearer, please let me try again: I have two distinct cases, one from a 48 car and one from a 51 truck, both side loaded. I'd like to use the 51 case in the 48 car, since it's in a better shape, but ONLY THE CASE/COVER. Like mentioned before, I measured and...

    Transmission case

Howdy! Does the 48 Ford car transmission case interchange with the 51 truck transmission? Got a very nice case from a 48 car but not sure I can use it in a truck. Thanks in advance

    6 V Tachometer

Well, I tried to put a 12V Sun Pro tach in my 6V neg ground 51 coupe and it works in a erratic way. Those old style 6 volts tachs just like the ones on eBay needs a transmitter box to work OK. And a good and reliable kit (tach+transmitter) is way to expensive.

    6 V Tachometer

I read somebody asked about a 6 volts tachometer for our cars, Westach made it in nice different styles, along with many other gauges. https://www.westach.com/product-page/2ct34-6v-nc Tried to upload a pic but couldn’t be able by my iPhone

    Flathead Coolant

I learned with Paul Garigan aka Rumbleseat that only destilated water plus an anticorrosive like Wynns is the way to keep away from overheating. Etylene glicol based products will retard the heat transfer in a flathead. I did it and never had any issue again, and got 180° stats.

    Jamco steering linkage upgrading

Well, it’s seems to be too hard to move for a part with needle bearings, it seems to have a very tight nylon bushing or something like that, because it made the steer even harder. Talking about the idler arm of course.

    Jamco steering linkage upgrading

In fact, 49 pitman arms are slightly different from 50/51. 49’s are a bit straight (less curved) then 50/51’s. An attempting to decrease bump steer!! Only one letter (“A” I think) plus is the difference between the years. Will try again to set that Jamco linkage, I’d hate trown it away after...

    Jamco steering linkage upgrading

Howdy, Got a Jamco upgrading stuff, paid a whole bunch os money and just can’t use it. The left tie rod sleeve hits the pitman arm pivot/grease fitting when I steer to left. My 51 coupe is all original, correct oil pan and no lowered. It seems it needs to put the car up some 3 inches to that...
