Well that says alot about some of your past posts , cold not start , no start , ect ! Somehow somewhere the battery changed polarity ! Ignition coils work better providing better spark when they have proper polarity !

Clean and check the points gap , .018 - .022 , pull the hand throttle lever down a couple of clicks for a faster idle speed when starting it cold . Follow what Marshall stated as a starting point ! Each car is different

BTT Catman 1 got it running ! Points gap was .050 , enjoy the remainder of the driving season !

When I was a teenager and working at the airport the mechanic/boss was doing a differential leak test , being an inquisitive kid I wanted to see what he was doing , walked to close and he said get out of the propeller area ! I did and just then the propeller spun ! I never will forget that !!!

Re: Modified A will not Calihute Convert to 12 volts ( is the FSI 12 volt ? they are polarity sensitive ! along with the coil ! ) Paint is an excellent insulator ! do you have good grounds ? clean shiny and tight ! As stated above , check if you are getting full timing advance at high rpm .

Very common to screw the armored cable into the distributor too far , back it out a couple of turns , with the points opened you should have battery voltage at the movable point , key switch on .
