If you are installing on a 6 volt + ground you must reverse the wires. I installed one 15 years ago (still working) and I believe the instructions of that old pump mentioned switching wires when + ground.

I believe all 42 clocks were wind up. I know mine is. Cleaned and oiled but can't get to work. never sent away to fix. It would work for 1/2 hr. or so then stop.

You can use a condenser from early 80's Mopar. when I started this, I was in touch Std. Blue Streak and they recommended AL111X. I have had the same condenser for 15 yrs, When I purchased them, they were still made in the USA.

About 15 yrs. ago, I moved the condenser up to the coil on my 42. I was told that the mfd. would be less at the points due to the increaseng of the coil to dist. wire. Checked with Std. My 42 original looms did not have a cross over tube, just braided tube cover. Oldford2 has my set and maybe if he is on line, he can take a pic.

I have my electric pump mounted near tank for 16 years. Like Supereal states use a good filter at inlet to pump.

Had 2 Triumphs, a Tr-6 and a Spitfire GT-6. Also a Jaguar sedan right hand drive.

My 42 has fixed rear windows and the back has shelf that extends from the back of seat to the rear window ending about 6 in. below. The back of the front seat tilts forward after releasing 2 pins so as to access the rear.
