OK I looked at the numbers again and the number 9 is the later type stamping after 1931 to the end of production. The number 8 looks like a snowman, a larger circle on the bottom and a smaller circle on top. I hope this can help.

Thanks for the info. I tried to post pictures in the past with no luck. ( I'm not that good with computers ) I will look at the number 9 when I get home tonight. I see the the 9 was changed at one point in time. I think the #8 looks a little funky also. Thanks Again
