Industrial vs Non-Industrial Model A Engines...

They were used in many farm implements at the time, Gleaner combines used them. Larger oil filler and if I remember correctly they came with a .40 overbore and domed pistons.

Harbor Freight Tools vs. China Bashing

Being retired and having more projects than money I do buy HF tools. I have found to look up the tool on line and check the reviews, they seem to be an honest representation of the most items. Also I ask the clerks at HF about returns on particular items, they will tell me if they get allot of...

    Brake Linings - Asbestos ???

I would be sure that they are asbestos , I have been a certified asbestos inspector-management planner since 1987. Even most new sets of brake shoes are asbestos since they can't find anything that works as well as it does. Working it wet if you must is a great idea.

    gleaner combine

There is one still sitting along K-59 Hiway north of Mustochah, Ks with the engine still in it. I had a friend with a 30 coupe that had the Gleaner Model A engine it. He has still passed away don't know what happened to it. I would image his son has it now.

    What a day!

Went to the Lawrence Kansas Swap meet on Saturday morning, picked up several small items for our '57 Chevy coupe project. But the best find was a pair of re-buildable rear fenders for my '30 Tudor sedan. Reasonable prices and great day!

    Roof panels

If a person really felt a need to do this like Tom W. said make a template of what would work and with all the minivans in the salvage yards today a nice panel would seem to be possible. Particularly if you had the metal working skills and tools.

    Model A wheel replacement

Ford pickup wheels until at least the year 2000 have the same bolt pattern, this would give you a host of various 15 and 16 wheels that I would think would fit and the salvage yards are full of them.

    The Ford Bomber Plant

The B-24 was a true Heavy Bomber, everyone thinks of the B-17 but the B-24 had a much larger payload. The B-17 also had many more years for development since it first flew in 1936 and went through numerous improvements. Still a very neat film, thanks for sharing with us!
