    Shock question

Yes. And yes. I have three sets of Rotoshims - and I'm about to get a set for my '34. Ran some repro A shocks for a while, not sure who made them as they came from a UK supplier - one started leaking the day after I fitted it. The other started locking up. Used to use some uprated MGB lever...

New Water Pump with Face Seal

Yes - that's what the ones I have look like.

New Water Pump with Face Seal

I've had a couple of A water pumps with the face seals - I wondered who'd made them.

    New Oil Pump Comment

I didn't use the clamp when testing the prototype pump. I fitted my Burtz block with an early sump so we could swap pumps easily without dropping the sump every time. No knock encountered with the pump running at full pressure.

    I need a Project

A reliable supply of pistons would be welcome. I'd like to build another engine soon for a new project and we can't get Egge ones anywhere. And waterpumps are always a misery. The stainless shaft 'leakless' pump on my Tourer objected to holding back water recently. Turns out it contained three...

    New Oil Pump

Over the years I've tested a few new parts on my cars. This time it was the prototype oil pump for Terry. I'm running a Burtz engine in my little T roadster. The Rotoshim pump I had fitted was taken out and the car was run up static for the original design and testing. Once the pump was...

    Front shock vs brake rod

That ain't safe. Friction shocks are all but useless. I'd fit Rotoshims.

    Shock

Definitely in production - saw them being made at Rotoshim yesterday... And very good they are too. I think Sammy at Arizona Model A might stock them?

    Burtz oil pump

I’m running a Rotoshim oil pump in mine. Built in relief valve that they can set to whatever you want.

    Model A shocks

I'd recommend Rotoshims. Only problem with them is I'm on my third set. And I have four cars...

    Pendine 2024

Took my Burtz block for a little drive to Pendine and take it down the beach. Friend of mine made a great video of the weekend. Unfortunately he had running problems and didn't get to film much of the action. Mine's the last car at the end... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f9TW57wOjCc

    Excellent Pendine Video (not mine).

I asked Rob Firth if he had a head to pattern from. Nope - he said he worked it all out from photographs. Lots and lots of photographs. Built the blower and quickchange himself too...

    Stipe Machine/Specialty Motor Cams

I'm on my third set of Rotoshim shocks. Because I now have them on all my cars... Couldn't recommend them more highly.

    Cylinder heads

Ported B block, Stipe 340 cam, reshaped stock size modern valves, 97 on a Burns manifold and a Snyders cast iron header. 74 is at the end of a half mile sprint and with 3.27 gears it's still pulling at that...

    Cylinder heads

Just to say - I really like my Brierley head. It pushed this down the beach at 74mph...

    Shocks - reproduction vs. rebuilt

I've been using the Rotoshims - I have a set on two cars now. Definitely recommend them. If you tell them your application they can be factory tuned. Each shock is dynamically tested after assembly to make sure they're matched.
