The first time I hooked the battery up the generator smoked out the back (see my previous post), I thought the cutout was stuck but now I know what the real problem was. I plan on trying it again now that I have the new cutout in place Thanks

6V, had it since '06 and as far as I know it was never converted to neg ground

I didn't try to start it yet so the generator never even had a chance to turn

Thanks for all the help, mine's a late '31 and I believe they attach to the wood rail as there is no sign of having had any welded to the cab. I don't know how I missed seeing them in Snyder's but thanks again for the info

It doesn't really bind, as the door will close easily to the first part of the opening, in other words it catches slightly before the striker, but to get it to close completely I have to lift it up and give it a god hard close.
