    Tyres!

Is it just me, or does it seem like Rayon tires we bought in the 70's seemed to last and last and last??:eek: Those ugly Garfield-Bedford-Allstate zig zag tread pattern tires?

    Tyres!

I agree with Bob. Universals are about the best buy tire for the money. Unless you plan on putting beau coup miles on a set of radials I just don't see how they are actually practical BECAUSE you have to remember that the shelf life of a tire is 7 years tops. After that you should replace them...

    Other Side Of My Drum

Is it possible to tap that with a wrench and tell by the 'sound'? Steel will make a high pitched ring cast iron will make a lower pitched sound?? Seems like an old time mechanic told me that in the early 70's......

Thinking about upgrading from Model A to Early V8

OHV Deluxe:):) Oh my gosh beautiful car! I absolutely love the three window coupes, '35-' 36's you can't go wrong with them and yes, those early flathead Fords are WAY above and beyond a Model A Ford as far as driving and such,, a lot more road worthy! LOVE your car that is super cool!!

Wanted a mechanic to work on my 32 Ford V8

Ahh--- yes Larry would be closer at 158 miles but I don't think he does much with early flatheads....He's pretty much a Model A guy,,, It is harder to find help for flathead Fords....

Wanted a mechanic to work on my 32 Ford V8

Also try Gerald and Sons in Nappanee, Indiana. They work solely on Model A Fords but they WILL work on the '32's. No other year early V-8's though. Gerald and Sons are only on FaceBook they discontinued their web site. I am not on FB myself. Look them up on Duck Duck Go at least you can get a...

Thinking about upgrading from Model A to Early V8

AzBob... yes hoping for the best for your transition! We have a '30 Roadster and a '36 PU. I like both of them for what they are, and they ARE different beasts, that '36 will get out and scoot! But the Model A is a bit easier to work on and good parts seem to be easier to come by. I have been...

    1936 Ford Pickup Headlight Assembly

Now... if somebody only made a GOOD headlight bulb socket:eek::eek: The repos are super poor quality. Pure garbage in my opinion. I spent 3 hours trying to get one to fit after changing a burned out bulb. I gave up in disgust. I'll tackle it again later. That socket 48-13076 fits '35-'36 Ford...

    1930 Buyer Demographic

My wife's grandfather was actually a Chevy man BUT he loved the Model A Fords, and drove them up into the 50's. He had all of the years and most of the body styles. He always said the 1930 Model A was THE best one they ever built. It had the best features the best build, the SS bright work...

Removing the front seat out of a 1936 ford truck

34fordy-- I like the way you put a scrap of carpeting there to keep the stuff from sliding around and rattling! Well done why didn't I think of that:p
