Anyone know how to or who can install the left side trunk arm tension spring on my 41?

This problem just started about a month ago on the 41. It will start ok the first week but a month goes buy and I have to use starting fluid. Will try a new check valve in the fuel pump first. Thanks for all the advice.

Thanks JM. Yes its the gas line that goes between the fuel pump and the main gas line that stops the fuel from running back into the tank.

Any one know where to get the fuel line with the check valve? I bought one years ago but can't remember where.

Yes it's like a hair trigger. Still everything looks ok and tight. Sounds crazy.

Checked out wire and it looks ok. Not worn through any place.

Everything I go over a bump the horn blows. I have to move the horn ring to get it to stop. Took it apart and couldn't see anything wrong.

I used to get my gas there $.33 a gallon.

Did do what Richard said. Filled with soder and drilled a .055" hole in it and used a weldng tip file to clean it up.
