    In the 1975-1976 school year, I was in the 6th grade. There was some sort of kids fun day at the local fairgrounds and for one of the attractions you could buy a ticket for a ride in a Model A. I ended up getting several tickets - that was the first time I rode in one. Since then I have owned four.

    I have a 31 Std Roadster and would never dream of converting it. There were only 5,XXX of these produced so leave it be and enjoy a fairly rare Model A example.

    Manifold Vacuum Leak Question

    Update: Decided to remove the manifold. Took the front nut off by hand, the stud came out with the rear, middle two seemed tight, gasket was split top to bottom between #4 port and rear intake. Have ordered new studs and gasket from Mike's. Even if this doesn't fix the problem it's still a fix...

    I am trying to help a friend with his 30 Model A. How much of a vacuum leak does it take to have a significant third gear power loss? Car cranks right up and does OK if 1st and 2nd but as soon as you go into third it looses power. New distributor, timing set by test light, good carb - sudden...
