John Dillinger 1930 Model "A" Ford Coupe

I'm a Dillinger buff so I have done lots of research on this. While this car matches the FBI file on both engine number and frame number of the car Dillinger stole, everything else has been restored. Dillinger stole this car after escaping the bureau of investigation at Little Bohemia and...

Need some help with 1930 Model A Radiator

I am in the market for a good quality aftermarket radiator that will fit a 1930 Model A. All I have found so far are radiators that are the right dimensions, but have the wrong tube fittings. I need it to fit exactly like stock but I want a modern style radiator. I found a few exact OEM...

    Buying sheet metal from MAC's

Just curious if anyone has bought sheet metal from MAC's online? I am thinking about buying 2 new fenders and a hood assembly and want to make sure they have quality sheet metal products. I am mainly wanting to make sure they are quality pieces of metal and fit good. The current fenders I have...

    Update on my 30 Coupe

Thanks. Yeah I can't believe this car doesn't have any rust spots or dents. There are a few cracks and a few small dings in the fenders but other than that it is completely straight.

    Update on my 30 Coupe

Thanks 700, appreciate it. One thing I have learned so far is that these cars are genuinely pretty reliable if you are knowledgeable about how they should run. A guy at my local Model A shop told me he drives his car 20 miles to work everyday and it never misses a beat. I am thoroughly enjoying...

    Update on my 30 Coupe

I have had more comments on those rims and tires than anything else on the car. Obviously that is the only thing that didn't come original, but they sure look and drive nicely :D

    Update on my 30 Coupe

I thought I would give an update because I am so excited about the car. Just a reminder, I purchased an all original 1930 Model A coupe about 3 weeks ago in Montana. The car sat in a barn from 1940 until now. I just spent the last two weeks getting everything mechanically sound and it has been...

Starting an Engine that hasn't run in two years?

This place has become a great resource for me, especially since I am still in the learning phase of how everything on a Model A works. What steps should I take in order to get an original Model A engine to run good? I am not new to motors, just new to older style engines. The engine starts...

1929 Truck Conversion ~ Updated with Pictures ~

I enjoy hearing about the history of these conversions. While they don't hold too much value in the "enthusiast" category, I am still glad I have it. I might just fix a few things on the body (door gaps, interior, etc) and fix everything mechanically so I can drive the heck out of it.

I actually have the rear fenders, they just aren't installed on the truck. Both fenders are in pretty good shape too.

Yep they are, not sure what the purpose of that was. I will be fixing that too before it goes on the road!

1929 Truck Conversion ~ Updated with Pictures ~

Re: 1929 Truck Conversion (Originally a Sedan) Here are some pictures of the box. It is in great shape, no dents on the actual box but the tailgate needs a little work. http://i218.photobucket.com/albums/cc13/chevybowtie/EC9A0540-4F9E-4A3D-9DE4-6EC7375F4D82-3081-000000972DA0864B.jpg

1929 Truck Conversion ~ Updated with Pictures ~

Yep, my idea is to leave it alone cosmetically aside from a few minor things. I really want to focus on making it mechanically reliable and fun to drive. It doesn't look bad converted to a truck either, I even have a little more cab room than a normal truck!
