I have a 1948 Ford F1 radiator for sale, it holds water/antifreeze when purchased. This radiator doesn't fit on my 50 coupe.. came with the 226 flathead engine.

I had same issue with my 1950 Ford coupe, after being in storage for 30 years the old gas was sludge ... I took to my local radiator shop, they put it in a large tank and boiled it out, they had to use muratic acid due to the thick crud.... the shop had it for a month.. cost me just over $125...

I have the fuel line disconnected and have a short fuel line in a gas can, with no fuel pumping... the lever doesn't look worn, but not sure how it was as new.. got a feeling the cam is the issue.. thanks for tip..

does the fuel pump on a flathead 6 connect to just the cam, or is there supposed to be a push rod when installed, to operate the pump's lever? Reason I'm asking, when I pulled the fuel pump and pumped it manually with the use of a fuel can, it sprays as it should, but when I place it back on the...

So true a lot of factors involved in the stability of the 3 steering box bolts.. I found some replacement bolts at the auto parts store. Believe me now I'm aware of this, I will keep an eye on the bolts. Glad others have signed in , about the weakness of the steering box bolts. Shoebox...

Update, I spent the morning partially removing the steering box to allow access to the broken studs and was able to remove 2 of them eventually...looks like 2 of the studs were old breaks, so glad this happened in my garage and not on the road. Will be buying new bolts... thanks for input..

Today I was pulling the old shoebox out of garage and I heard a loud snap, and lost all steering capability... It's the original box btw... After getting under the coupe I see the steering box broke away from the frame, bolt(s) broke off.. Is this a matter of just installing new bolts or poss...

I also ran a new 12V EZ wire harness kit from Florida in my 50 Ford coupe this past summer, it was quite the task but got her done.. I see you have the same interior I installed, fits nice...

The one f1builder is for the rear of shoebox ford. Yanks anyway.

The 1950 Ford only came with the 3 speed manual trans. 1951 Ford had the option for manual or automatic trans. I have the 1950 Ford club coupe, it's been a journey but now almost done. Good luck on your possible 50 Ford.
