    letting go

I appreciate what your thoughts are because I will be going thru the same thing because of age and health issues. I got two As and they must go. Probably for a lot less than what I got into them. My grown kids have no interest in them. But, it is what it is. Best of luck Steve

    Zenith rebuilds

The best thing I did was replace the Zenith with a Marvel Shebler. Might not have spelled that right.

    Rear spring U-bolt replacement

This might not seem right to a lot of folks. I removed the rear seat then cut a square hole above the u boults and replaced them. Then I welded the piece I cut out back in to place. Worked fine for me.

What strange comments or questions have you heard about your Model A

Hi Arnold, Yep, I got that question. Much be more common than I thought. I had an elderly lady at a car cruise ask me if I was the original owner. She was looking at my 2door 1928 model A at the time. I told her I'm old but not that old. I had friends with me at the time, they all got a kick out...

    Question about posts

Brian I disagree to a point with you. I found over the years that I got a lot of very good answers to questions that I asked, and some not so good. The search option has helped me a lot over the years. As in many times that you come across smart *** people that will give you an answer to a...

except cash for a car or trust a check

I've been in this hobby over twenty five years and never gave a thought about counterfeit money. It's a sad day when someone would risk a federal offence, a felony to pay for a 15000. car. No cure for stupid

except cash for a car or trust a check

At Carlisle, when I sold my 40 the only thing I saw was a Notary to transfer the title. No bank that I saw. Another issue is my Bank only stays open till noon or so on Saturdays. Things might have changed. That was ten years ago when I sold it at Carlisle. I can call and find out. Also, I'll...

except cash for a car or trust a check

A few years ago I sold my 40 Ford at Carlisle Pa swap meet. The buyer was from North Dakota. I wouldn't sign the title over until I heard from my Bank that the money was indeed transferred to my account. Took about an hour. Now I will be at Carlisle again this year selling one and maybe buying...

How come my car isn't even worth scrapping?

What you put in an A and what you get back out are two different things. I'm told fifty cents on a dollar is common. Judging by past experience, that's not far off. These reply's are spot on.
