It was the spark plugs causing it to run on 3 cylinders. That and the play in the commutator rod. Everything is back to normal now. It runs great! Thanks to those of you who had something to say.

Thank you Marshall and jwaldrich.... The coils are brand new (last year). I did make sure the coil "rattlers" are adjusted properly. Onward to Jwaldrich's point....I did just order a new set of spark plugs.....The old ones were pretty bad looking! The timing issue was the Linkage rod from...

Okay, thank you. I googled it and confirmed that mine is positioned properly. I think I did not adjust my pull rod properly. When I took the plugs out, I noticed the rear cylinder was the one not firing. It was wet. So I assumed it was only running on three cylinders? So maybe I was just a...

Okay, so I did all of that above mentioned stuff. My question now is: The commutator roller inside the cap. At what position should that be while on Top dead Center? Thank you.

Thank you "redmodelt" That advice does help me a lot. I will let you know how I made out within the next day or two. Thanks again.

The car runs, but not the way it is supposed to! I contemplate the method I used to time the ignition and on what top dead center cylinder? (From the front of the car, which is the number one cylinder? I assume it is the forward most cylinder? Am I wrong?) I ordered and received...

Hilarious!!!! I just spit my tobacco juice on my computer screen!! LOL

Oh! I forgot to mention, the rear end has never been apart since we've owned it...since 1964-65ish. Do you think maybe the thrust plate might cause this problem?

Ok, good to know! thank you!

Okay.... The engine runs great! It is possible the rear brakes might be dragging....It's hard to push while in neutral.

Thanks! There is also a lot of horizontal play (1/4 inch) at the rod which holds the clutch forks. When releasing into high gear, the "fork rod" moves almost a quarter of an inch side to side/horizontally, not up and down as if there where play in the housing itself.

I would like to know that if my clutch forks are worn out, would that cause the car to jerk/pulsate when in high gear going down the road? It just seems like the high gear is not fully engaging? If not, would there be something wrong with the rear end gears and/or bearings? I looked in both...

I agree with all the above! Have fun with it first!

Thank you... Glad I could help! Ford engine green is the only way to go! ...my opinion. Take care.

Thank you! I like the coupes too! Roadsters are fun. They are like big go-carts! hahaha! Thanks again..

Yeah, Thank you! The deer is my friend's pet. My friend lives about 3 miles from me closer to the woods & mountains. He's a character...he's always got some kind of new animal running around his place! ...said he wants a bear next! !!!yikes!!!! Any way...thank you for the comment! Take care.

A doe, a deer, a female deer...me, giving her some food! (pizza) I know this has nothing to do with a Ford Model "T".....But on the other hand, it has a lot to do with it! Down time during restoration = having fun with nature! So, you haters can kiss my *ss! Thanks to all who are serious about...
