Thanks for the info and help. The first set of rear shoes were from Obsolete Auto in OK and were 11in x 2 1/4 wrong width. The box was labled right but the parts were wrong. Now they want $30 to return them - yikes. I'll try and sell them here.

Also I backed the cable off the yoke to get more slack but that didn't help much.

Reinstalling cooling system. Using NAPA belts 257516 and 257417. Unable to completely tighten the gen/water pump belt. Seems sloppy with extra play. What should the belt deflection be when properly tightened?
