    Gas tank restoration

Yes , I know it is a '41 Lincoln . but ............. I made it thru this season by just flushing it out. It does have rust (and baffles) I have since stored the car in a position to easily drop the tank again. 1) the Tank was "dipped" once in the '80s and sealed with some "red stuff"...

    More on the serial number

Ralph's transmission is definitely from a 1937 Lincoln Zephyr. Engine numbers for 1937 L-Z ran from H15529 thru H45529

    MMO & a V8 &1/2

G.M. is spot on as far as MMO; We drove our 41 V12 over 2000 miles in the past month ; noisy lifters upon our return . 8 oz. of MMO and 10 miles of driving ALL OK. I will now add to every tank of gas

    Flavor of Oil??

LAST REHASH ??? I have a V8 + 1/2 and have just finished 3000 miles on a BRAND NEW REBUILT V12 LINCOLN using Rotlella 15W40 with ABSOLUTLEY no oil useage. I had valve noise but cured it with , YES MMO 4oz. per ten gallons of gas. AND YES IT DOES THE JOB

    5w30?

Although I have a V8 & 1/2 (Lincoln V12) I am VERY Happy with Rotella 15W40. 1200 mile trip with NO oil consumption. Hydraulic lifters still sound like a sewing machine
