After 15 years of rebuilding, car is scheduled for a start up. When I made the final hookup of a new battery, to all new wiring, a big spark resulted. Is equiped with a shutoff switch next to starter motor, positive grounded. Where do I start to located problem?

Having the exact same problem with my 28 tudor. Pulled the new rod, tightend steering wheel nut, reinstalled; light switch turns with the steering wheel.

Need help on installing new horn and light rod. Lower end is too tight to fit into top of steering column. What is best to lubricate thw new rod?

Near the top of a 28 steering column are two holes, right and left, which appear to be an opportunity to oil both levers onthe column. Assuming this is accurate, what type/ weight oil is best?

Gas tank inspection shows a a samll amount of corrosion. Has been day for at least 40 years. Have had a recommendation to wash the tank with hot soap and water, dry and followed by rinsing with gasoline prior to hooking up to gas line and rebuilt carb. Thoughts?:rolleyes:

Acetone on the teeth might work, but it may be rough on gum tissue.

Had a similar experience with my 28-tudor. Two flat head screws in upper corners. Had to drillout rusted screws, clean up and retap for reattachment.

GOT IT! It fits. Now ,it's on to the next of many other "mini" projects.

The front motor mount (not original style) is being replaced. This will lower the U joint . However I still have slight misalignment with the top cover "arm" and the frame cross member. Does this arm piece go above or below the cross member? I appreciate your interest. CH

Having trouble replacing the upper half of outer cover on 28 tudor universal joint. Guard on top hits the cross frame member. Any ideas?
