1932 3 Window Dash Hardware Question

Thanks guys...makes sense. And Tom, your comment about limited access is exactly right! That's why I figured there had to be a clip, or as it turns out a procedure to make them work. I really appreciate the responses.

1932 3 Window Dash Hardware Question

Thanks Boxcar Tom...that is very helpful. What holds them in place before the screw through the dash goes through it? Is there a spring clip or something? Or do they literally need to be held up by hand (or tape?) while feeding the dash screw into them?

1932 3 Window Dash Hardware Question

Looking for some help on what the fasteners and/or clips? cage nuts? or whatever is supposed to retain the dash at the bottom of the windshield frame flange on the '32 3-windows. There are 7 recesses in the cowl area of the body (see pic) that line up with the dash holes (the screws go in from...

    1938-39 Ford Book Question(s)

Hi all, I'm not real active on the Ford Barn but you guys have answered some of my previous questions (and thanks, again for that)(I'm more active on the HAMB). That said, I've got a couple questions for you. I'm potentially interested in the following book from the Ford V8 club...

Looking for '38 Ford Deluxe Measurement Help Please

Hi all, Wondering if someone with a '38 Ford Deluxe might be able to measure the total width from outside drivers to outside passengers side front fenders at the top of the wheel arch for me. I've included a poor quality sketch to help clarify what I'm needing just in case it's not apparent...

59AB Cooling System Advice Needed from the Experts (not an overheating issue)

I am not aware that any of the head bolts go into any of the oil galleries? Am I missing something? I believe that I was drawing a small amount of coolant into the combustion chamber (as could be seen by the small areas of steam cleaned piston tops and head areas), and more so pushing...

59AB Cooling System Advice Needed from the Experts (not an overheating issue)

Sneaky bastage camera playing tricks on our eyes. I hadn't noticed it previous to your post. I just ran down to the shop to verify...the dark spot on the photo doesn't exist anywhere but in that photo.

59AB Cooling System Advice Needed from the Experts (not an overheating issue)

You nailed it on the big bore gaskets comments...my block is .080" over so I had to use the big bore gaskets. I had not seen the "parts number" reference to those cracks before (looked it up online...I get it, and like it!). My machinist at the time (that had magged the block and declared it...

59AB Cooling System Advice Needed from the Experts (not an overheating issue)

I am glad to have found the issue, but was also curious about why my coolant tests in the shop did not show any signs of the failure as well. I discussed this with the rad shop owner (good knowledgeable guy that gave me his time) when I took the rad in. He figured (and it makes sense to me)...

59AB Cooling System Advice Needed from the Experts (not an overheating issue)

To close the loop and follow up on this one...the rad checked out fine. So this took me back to the engine and the possibility of head gasket failure (or start of failure). So while the coolant was already drained, 48 bolts later and looks like we have the answer. The head gasket was leaking...
