A-Speed for Android is Coming Soon — But I Need Your Help I’ve received a lot of requests for an Android version of A-Speed. The app is finished, initial testing is complete, and it’s been stable in real-world use for a few weeks now. The only thing keeping it from being released is Google’s...

Not through the app. It wouldn’t be hard to build a sharing function, but I can’t do a leaderboard or similar due to privacy.

I'm still in need of several people with Android phones who would be willing to test the app for 14 days. Google has a requirement to have at least 12 people test for 14 days straight before they will let independent developers release apps in the Play Store. The App is ready to ship, I just...

You caught me at a good time. I built Model T mode this evening. It's currently being sent to those who have beta tested in the past. If anyone with a Model T would like to review, let me know. I can send you instructions on how to download via DM.

Thanks so much for the kind words. I've been kicking around the idea of making a T mode on the App. I need to do some research on gear ratios, etc., but it should not be too difficult to put into the next update.

A-Speed Version 1.2 is now live in the Apple App Store. If you already have A-Speed installed on your phone, it will update via the normal update process or you can go to the App Store and update manually. If you don't have it installed, go to https://www.a-speed.com/ for more information on...

The app is designed for Model A’s. That being said your 4th gear is still 1:1, you can enter custom tire size and rear end ratio in settings and still get an accurate RPM estimate while in 4th / direct. The app will tell you that you are in 3rd.

That is really good feedback. I have not looked into hill climb at all and didn't know the distance. Would total elevation also be a good metric for that? Thinking about: Best 1/10 Last 1/10 Top speed during 1/10 Total elevation dur 1/10 I had trouble with the suction cup falling off my...

Version 1.1 for iOS is now available in the App Store. You should be prompted to update, but feel free to do it proactively. https://apps.apple.com/app/id6768415542 What's New in Version 1.1 • Added Garage support for multiple vehicle profiles • Quickly switch between vehicles while keeping...

It’s going to be a while. Not many people on the interest list so far. https://www.a-speed.com/android

Thanks for letting me know. I will get that fixed in an update. -Brian

So I wasn't going to bring this up yet, but since you did haha. My current project that I have been building since I completed V1 of A-Speed is an online platform specifically built for volunteer run car clubs. https://www.clubelfi.com I am investigating group SMS as part of this. There are...

I finished building multi-vehicle support and fixed a bug that was doubling the lifetime miles earned. Before I release the update, I need a few people to test it in the wild over the next few days. If you're interested in testing multi-vehicle support and will add an additional vehicle (real...

Not at this point. I’ll add backwards compatibility to the list of things to look in to though.

You’ll have to completely close the app to stop the trip OD from adding in your steps. iPhone X and later From the Home Screen, swipe up from the bottom of the screen and pause in the middle of the screen. Swipe right or left to find the app that you want to close. Swipe up on the app's preview...

Thank you for the kind words, Dick. It means a lot to me to hear that.

The App has a provision for setting the idle speed. It fluctuates +/- 10RPM when the car/phone is not in motion.

Hey Ruth, I’m assuming you are indoors when you’re getting this message. You need a semi-clear view of the sky in order to lick on to GPS. The GPS is used to judge your speed and distance. If you’re outdoors, this can pop up when starting in an area with an overhang or canopy of trees.

LOL!, no it was me... been staring at code too long. time to go outside AND DRIVE A MODEL A!
