GB, I have seen several versions of grill guards. I don't think this is military, it is similar to ad photos i have seen for grill guards in Hilty's 47 ford option book....There were at least two manufacturers of after market non military suppliers.

i HAVE ALWAYS REPLACED THESE PIECES OF WOOD WITH NEW ONES FROM CARPENTER OR THE LIKE. i ASSUME 42 THRU 47 WERE THE SAME. I DO HAVE SOME USED ONES (NOT SURE WHAT TRUCKS THEY CAME OFF OF) IF SOMEONE WANTED THEM.

I believe 2 screws on each side are all that anchor the seat in position. I have never seen anything that keeps the front of seat from moving. Someone told me recently that Ford gave you a choice of 2 screws in 3 holes to pick up a 1" or so in setting. Not sure of that? I do have a complete...

Here are brackets for my 2 trucks. 46 Commercial & 47 Express pickups.... I have never seen them separated from seat cushion, i suspect Period Correct USED ones would be hard to find....

I THINK the brackets are riveted to the seat fame, never seen anyone making these parts although as GB says they may not be too hard to produce, lots of parts for 42 to 47 trucks are not reproduced....

What was the part #?

Model 51, (Stakebed or flatbeds, not pickups) Very specifically i have a spare tire carrier minus hinges off the frame rails. i am trying to determine if it is for a half ton or tonner truck? would like to know how a half ton & 1ton truck hinges look like, photos? I believe they are riveted...

Was told these spare tire carriers were a Ford option, that true?
