Thanks Scrapiron, I took the carb off and seated the throttle plates and that took care of my problem with the high idle. Now, when I adjust the air/fuel mixture screws, it doesn't affect the idle. They are set at 1 1/2 turns out. Do these need to be replaced?

I have done a complete rebuild and did have the throttle plates out. They seemed to go back in and seal properly.

I recently rebuilt my Autolite 2100 which sets on top of a 292 (64 F100) and is idling at 1,350 rpms. Adjusting the fuel/air screw doesn't seem to change the idle. I sprayed carb cleaner around the carburetor to search for vacuum leaks but didn't find any. Anyone have any ideas?
