WTB: 1930-1931 sheet metal patches for rear fender

For my 1931 82B narrow-bed Pickup project: ±8" of both left and right rear fenders at the very rear bottom. My understanding is that 1930-1931 coupe, roadster and pickup fenders are the same. Thank you.

Key in door handle lock cylinder

I've never had a door handle with a locking cylinder that worked in my 1931 Pickup passenger-side door. I ran across a handle with the cylinder and a key but haven't installed the door handle yet. The key only turns from vertical to the left to about the 11:00 position . . . and to the right to...

Veteran buying a 31 Victoria on credit

The pic is most likely a part of a promo ad to inform the public that the U.S. Government has a financial assistance/grant program to help disabled vets returning after WW1-era. Plenty of info if you GOOGLE "disabled veteran benefits."

    Front seat cushion retainer

Original or repop starter switch cover?

A or B? I have two different starter switch covers. I'm thinking one is a repop. How can you tell the difference? I read somewhere about the angle where the push rod assembly goes thru the cover as one difference. How about the height and curvature at the top front? I know that they shouldn't...

    Thanks for accepting me

FWIW: The VIN is the date when the engine was approved after the run-in test and then stamped with the number . . . not the build-date of the car, unless you have other documentation. Welcome aboard!

    Your painted front bumper

Looking for ideas (flat, satin or gloss . . . Black, Gray, Silver or ?) for painting my front bumper on a no-frills early-1931 Black pickup. The body, wire wheels, radiator shell, headlight buckets and the cowl band will also be Black. Pictures and suggestions would be appreciated. Thanx.

    WD40 rust release

New formula? They should have named it WD-41 . . . not to confuse it with WD-40. Send me a sample and I'll let you know how it works.

ideas on a cheap wash tub?

    . . . a lot of incorrect answers . . . lol . . . like I said, Brent's idea will work . . . Yes and no. Wheels are 6" tall laying on a flat surface . . . 2" x 8" lumber (7 1/4" wide) would be needed as a minimum unless you want to wait twice as long per wheel. I would also suggest...

    1953 ford windshield info needed

Do all 1953 Ford passenger cars take the same windshield? I'm looking for any info to verify a windshield size and interchangeability issue that I read about and find it hard to believe. A National Auto Glass Specification (NAGS) number by itself or with any dimensions would be helpful.....like...

    Does anyone have a Model A coupe-pickup?

The '36 Chev coupe/pickup noted above was probably an imported Australian Ute. I can still picture (from the late 1940's) a 1930 or 1931 Model A coupe-pickup, owned by the filling station and used for their service truck, where my dad used to fill up his 1941 Chev coupe with "ethyl." Some of...

Driving the Overdrive in gear all the time??

Brent's got it right. When you're not driving in overdrive producing a 3.78 final ratio, you only have 74% of this number if the increase is 26%; therefore..... Multiply 3.78 x .74 = 2.8

    Brumfield Head on EBay

Note the item location in the eBay listing. The seller's definition of "usual" could be correct. Cracks around his house, driveway, garage floor, and everything else are probably not unusual to him either.....especially since the 6.7 "Shake, Rattle, and Roll" event out there. :D
