They are the same. It's been done many times.

Last August, I bought an original unrestored 31 Model A station wagon at a local estate sale for what I thought was well worth the money paid. To make room for it at home, i had to sell our 52 Chevy business coupe. That was difficult for all the reasons stated above. After many lookers, it...

Thanks for the tip. Great work!

The air pump leather is cup shaped. I bought this pump leather many years ago from an elderly gentleman living in central Illinois who was making them for Model A air pumps. It fits well and works well. . Sorry , I have lost his contact info. Perhaps a supply company that supplies pump...

I ordered a dozen 3076 plugs from the O'Riely's in Delavan, WI. this morning. Instead of the dozen, They only had eight , so I guess that warehouse is now sold out. I was glad jus to get the eight, two sets. Many years ago, a neighbor bought out the last two sets of NOS 3X's at our local NAPA...

Some years ago, the late Roger Kaufman was asked that question, and he replied, "Whichever Model A I happen to be in at the time."

I'm jealous! It's currently 17 degrees above zero here in Wisconsin and the roads are covered with salt, so I will pass on the inaugural first Model A ride for 2026. Happy motoring in warm and sunny California!

Oops? Rusty, are you using the oil seal retainer tube, Snyders PN A-3527-T? I would assume that you don't need any seal at all to keep oil out of your light switch, because the tube welded to the retainer plug keeps oil in your steering box because the tube is above the oil level in you...

What Dave said, except on the 7 tooth sector I worked on last week used a black rubber seal. I found that if i turned the retainer plug too tight, the light switch rod would not pass through, but if I left it looser, it would pass through. You can test your seal with your light switch rod. It...

I attended a carburetor seminar at the MARC/MAFCA national meet in Lake Geneva, WI. in 1986 that was given by Rex Reheis. Two tips are recalled. 1. He said that to get a stubborn jet loose, try tightening the jet if it won't turn counter clockwise to break it loose. 2. When installing the float...

Used from beginning of production through May 1928. All three for $50. plus shipping. Mike Peters, Sharon, Wi. 262-736-4515.

Three years ago, I converted an old, scary hydraulic brake setup on a 31 Slant window fordor back to mechanical brakes. It's a much safer car now. It was a matter of rounding up backing plates, drums, rods, cross shaft, etc.. This stuff often turns up at swap meets. Good luck. you are on...

Fun Fact.........The late 31 sediment bowl bolts up nicely to any B carburetor.

This is an early Thieman in the Wheels 'O Time museum in Dunlap, Illinois. Open final drive chain. Looks to me that Thieman made a special final drive sprocket that bolted to the rear brake drum and was held on by the rear axle nut, along with the brake drum itself. The later Thiemans were...

I have been told that there are only three know adult AA passenger buses left. The one at Greenfield, Ken Ehrenhofer's project, and a third in a private collection.

If this is a 1942 photo, then the second car, a 40 ford convertible would only be two years old. Is the first car a 40 Lasalle? Late model used cars.

The car farthest to left sitting on the ground looks like a 38 Plymouth

https://aafords.com/c/ You might direct your question to Neil Wilson at the Model AA Truck Club at the link above. As far as I know, Ford never supplied any fifth wheel equipment for AA trucks, but Neil will know for sure. There is a nice era photo of a fifth wheel AA truck set up on page 79...

"Has anyone used a mechanics stethoscope? Dave: No. The Rockford A's aren't quite that advanced. Jim the owner will be taking the car back to the rebuilder, (who shall remain anonymous) tomorrow or next week and take the guy for a ride. Like Terry Burtz says something could be out of...

We were all pretty puzzled, so no expressed much of an opinion. No chunks of babbit in the pan, but the sparkly stuff looked like finely ground babbit. Aluminum cam gear on this car. From underneath, it looked good. Only 5,000 miles on it. Several Model A owners in our club have had the...
